Phase 1 : Préparation

Senior Management and worksite staff must be trained on the GBE System® for complete understanding. This training can be provided by the GBE company.

Implementation of the GBE System is covered by a specific verification plan. These plans are indicated in the construction sequencing of the cast-in-place sandwich walls.

Throughout each of the GBE System® implementation phases, always refer to the formwork manufacturer recommendations and to the company’s procedure (Specific Health and Safety Plan).

The GBE System® is composed of (starting from the inside):

  • A reinforced concrete internal face (“structure”) with a thickness of between 14 cm and 45 cm.
  • A continuous insulation strip integrated into the system before casting. The insulation thickness is between 5 cm and 34 cm.
  • A reinforced concrete external “facing" wall with a thickness of between 10 cm and 15 cm.
